One Year of Blogging

In the introduction to his Introduction to the Devout Life, Saint Francis de Sales, patron of writers, writes about writing, thus:

A notable literary man has said that a good way to learn is to study, a better to listen, and the best to teach. And St. Augustine… says that giving is a way to receive and teaching a way to learn.

It is one year ago now that I posted my first post. Thank you for learning with me. Thank you for reading. I truly feel as Saint Francis: to study, to listen, to teach, are all great graces for learning, even in the science of the saints.

Pray for me; I’ll pray for you.

congratulations on your first year! i hope that there will be many more. i’ve been reading your blog for about three months now and it is truly inspiring. you’ve introduced me to some new ‘best friends’, like marcel van and elizabeth of the trinity. you’ve also reminded me of old friends … the little brothers and sisters of jesus and the entire family of charles de foucauld. thank you for all that you have shared with us. blessings on the year ahead. i will keep you in my prayers.

Glad to hear the blog has been of help. It’s certainly helped me. I’ve found a few of these friends (including Marcel Văn) through the process of putting the blog together and interacting with readers. =)
