Good and Evil in History According to John of the Cross

The Lord has always been uncovering for mortals the treasures of his Wisdom and his Spirit. But now that evil shows ever more its face, he shows his treasures all the more, too.

Of course this makes perfect sense and I was thinking of a gardener, even though manure is not “evil” per se, if one were to come across a lot of it, seeing what is growing underneath and as a result of it would be like being shown a wonderful treasure! I know how silly this will sound but sometimes it just feels like God’s Love is too much! I know that’s impossible but its like He’s a mom or dad whose sole delight is to shower us with His Love and to take us deeper and deeper into the secrets of that Love!
