Spiritual poverty is
          not just going without
          not just for religious
          not just faint mimicry
     for a reason
     a positioning and a direction
     a decision to join the poor
                                          the vulnerable
                in the task
     itself vulnerability
     itself spiritual childhood
     itself vulnerability
     in all these ways
           what makes us sharers
                 in the divine nature
