In this fifth week of Lent, quotes posted to social media (Facebook, Instagram, X) followed up on the last quote of the previous week. The focus is the work that the dark night, contemplation, and our relationship with God in general accomplish: making us the one God created us to be, nothing less, nothing different, each one unique.

Saint Joseph is the model for those humble ones that Christianity raises up to great destinies… He is the proof that in order to be a good and genuine follower of Christ, there is no need for great things; it is enough to have the common, simple, and human virtues, but they need to be true and authentic. — Pope Saint Paul VI

He set before me the book of nature; I understood how all the flowers He has created are beautiful, how the splendour of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not take away the perfume of the little violet or the delightful simplicity of the daisy. — Saint Thérèse of Lisieux

God leads each one along different paths so that hardly one spirit will be found like another in even half its method of procedure. — Saint John of the Cross

Don’t make yourself into anyone other than the one he intended, and you will always have God in your mind. — Saint Anthony of Padua and Lisbon
At the moment, my plan for Holy Week is to be quiet and let the quotes do the talking. But if something major changes, I will post.
