Someone who needs to find something hidden must enter very secretly into that same hidden place where it is, and when he finds it, he too is hidden like the thing he has found. Since your beloved Spouse is the treasure hidden in the field of your soul, for which treasure the wise merchant gave all that he had [cf. Mt 13:44], it will be fitting that, in order to find it, you forget everything that is yours, withdraw from everything created, and hide in the interior closet of your soul [cf. Mt 6:6].
