The Mass enables us to accede to the maximum of this communion with Christ crucified and offering Himself, this communion of which our own life of self-immolation must become a day-long continuation. It it the Eucharistic Sacrifice itself – now no longer something exterior to us, for we are then actually integrated into it – that thus bears fruit through us.
