ElisabethThis Word will finish the work of stripping the soul for it has the particular characteristic that it creates what it intends, provided the soul yields to its consent. It is not enough, however, just to listen to this Word. The soul must also keep the Word, and by this keeping be sanctified in the truth: “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth” (Jn 17:17).
