If we examine this contemplation itself, the peaceful, loving surrender to God, we can also claim it as a form of faith, the fides qua creditur, not as credere Deum (although faith in God’s existence is a prerequisite and is included in it), nor as credere Deo (although it is the result of all God’s revealed truths we have accepted with faith). Rather it is credere in Deum: belief “into” God, venturing into him by faith.
