The Presence of Authors

I saw this photo on Facebook:

The Bible is the only book whose author is always present when one reads it.

It made me think, “Yes.

“But also the saints can be present when we read what they wrote. The saints gather around the Humanity of Jesus and the Most Holy Trinity. The Body of Christ dwells in the tabernacle, and the Trinity dwells in all sanctified hearts.

“In other words, the saints can be there when we read, too. That’s why and how I read the saints: to make friends who are there. It’s a lot easier than all the other reading I do in other ways!”

Thank God for shortcuts like this!
