As long as I am on this earth… little Jesus is very mischievous with me; more than once already he has hit me and torn me up [in desolation, dryness, and admonition]. But when I am in heaven, he will certainly be better behaved, because then only love will remain without any suffering, is that not so? … What delights I shall taste at that time! It will be a compensation for the sufferings I am now enduring.
