The Eucharist is the bond of charity uniting together at the same divine banquet the members of every Christian family, the poor and the rich, the learned and the ignorant, all Christians throughout the world. And so in Holy Communion are verified two principles: goodness is essentially diffusive, and, the loftier the nature, the more completely and abundantly does something give itself to others.
