The Infinite, the Love of God
Came down, was bounded to a place.
Imagine that! A man was God,
Had his own nose and his own face.

He was a child, he too grew up
To work, have friends, and demonstrate
That God is Love, that God is Light,
But not so far from our own state.

He’s not so far if we accept
The hand, Christ’s hand that’s given us
In Palestine. But not just there!
It’s offered with divine largesse.

At ev’ry corner, ev’ry land,
A myst’ry (and a life) present.
A bread that’s not and wine that’s not:
Appearances do lie. But sent

By God’s own just command, to earth,
Is God’s own Son. And present here
The sacrifice that his own blood
Has won. O Love of God so near!
