Perceptible Fervour is Far From the Only Time to Receive God’s Favours

Van[Jesus says,] Have you felt for some time a lot of dryness in going to communion? Accept it cheerfully. It is my will.  You will doubtless think that the moments of perceptible fervour devoted to conversing familiarly with me are the only times you can receive my favours. Not at all!

Beautiful, that Jesus allows us to relate to Him the way we would with a good friend. We don’t always have deep intimate conversations. Sometimes we are just there together and that too is a very great gift, even though we may not be “feeling” much! Oh how our Love wants to teach us the subtlities of real loving!
