Who are the Little Sisters of Jesus?

Is it possible to live a contemplative life in the world? Yes, it is! There are religious communities that do this. One of these communities is the Little Sisters of Jesus:

The Little Sisters of Jesus is an international Catholic Religious Order of women founded by Little Sister Magdeleine (Magdeleine Hutin). She was inspired by the life and writings of Charles de Foucauld and began in Algeria in 1939. We are now about 1200 members worldwide in about 60 countries.

What an inspiration: a contemplative life shared with the poor, the suffering, the simple-hearted, those who walk these muddy roads! Anything, with God, is possible.
